Spreading Local Love For The Arnprior Public Library

Libraries are incredible for many reasons! They offer free educational resources to the community and play a vital role in our learning. Most importantly, they provide a safe space for connection and interaction.
The Arnprior Public Library serves as a cornerstone of the community, embodying its strong identity and commitment to public service. The library offers an array of resources, including access to a diverse collection of books, digital media, and educational materials. Additionally, it hosts various programs and events such as storytime for children, workshops for adults, and community gatherings that foster social connections. Through these initiatives, the Arnprior Public Library not only promotes literacy and learning but also strengthens community bonds and enriches the lives of residents of all ages.
During the period when there were no school busses the library was a safe haven for many kids to walk to after school. Parents knew they were in a safe environment. My 9-year-old daughter was doing a project on safe places in the community and the library was her number 1. The librarians are amazing!!! ~ Paula S. Arnprior Resident

- Minister’s Award for Innovation: (Small Library Category) 2018
- Community Connections Award: from the Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors 2017
- W.J. Robertson Medallion: Public Librarian of the Year, Ontario 2017
- Youth Services Librarian of the Year: Ontario 2016
- National Honorable Mention: for the TD Summer Reading Club 2015
Not only are the staff so helpful and always so great to interact with, but their programming is amazing too. We have taken advantage of so many of their children’s programs, from Baby Rhyme time, toddler/preschool storytimes, to Lego lounge, and their incredible summer reading club! The ladies that work there make the library such a great place! This community is so lucky to have them. I hope they all know how appreciated they are. ~ Mandalina T.
