With the catchy motto “handmade, local and different” Dianne Rodger makes a unique promise to her customers, guaranteeing that everything in the store embodies one or more of these special themes.
Dianne discovered her artistic passion at a young age. When she was just seven years old, she experienced a tremendous sense of accomplishment after handcrafting her first piece of jewellery using a bag of beads she had purchased at a local street fair. From that moment on, she was hooked and began exploring various creative outlets, embracing her natural talent for using her hands to create—Dianne had caught the maker bug!
I adore and am obsessed with making things. I couldn’t stop even if I tried! I love touching each material and element and shaping it into something that could become someone’s favourite, go-to piece. My jewellery is a balanced blend of elegant and artistic, an effortless compliment to every day.

In 2021, Dianne opened a brick-and-mortar shop in the heart of downtown Arnprior, quickly becoming the go-to jewellery maker in the area. The studio showcases a stunning selection of unique, high-quality pieces and a carefully curated collection of works by local artists. The team often travels across the country to showcase their artistry at trade shows. Most recently, they participated in The Handmade Market event in Niagara Falls.
Dianne Rodger Jewellery is situated at 118 John Street North in Arnprior, nestled between Main Street School of Music and Steelheads and Strikes, one of Canada’s oldest bowling alleys. This charming small town shop boasts excellent curb appeal, featuring a vibrantly painted exterior and large, inviting windows showcasing their artistry.

Permanent bracelets are a top seller at DRJ. Instead of using a traditional clasp, Dianne manually wires the ends of the chain together securing them with a charm, providing long-lasting results.
Dianne is a formally trained gemmologist with a keen eye for detail.
Here are some interesting facts about our favorite gemstone, the beautiful star sapphire:
- Star sapphire is primarily associated with the zodiac sign of Libra.
- Sapphires are traditional symbols of truth, sincerity and faithfulness.
- The most common colours are black, pink and blue.
- What makes a star sapphire unique is a phenomenon called “asterism,” which creates a star-like reflection of light on its surface.
- Most star sapphires display either 4 or 6 rays, while those with 12 rays are extremely rare.
